Girl child education

It is often said ‘Educate a girl, empower a nation’. Studying in Std 8 at Arya Kanya Vidyalaya Roshni Parmar’s studies would have been discontinued as she had been unable to pay the fees for last 3 years. Her father being a daily wager had been unable to make any earning due to serious health issues. The family was somehow surviving on the meagre earnings of her mother who does household chores in her vicinity. The trust run school approached Vayavalamban Association for financial assistance and as the cause was genuine and aligned to the objectives of the association, they came forward with a contribution of Rs.6100/- to cover the fees for her std 8 studies. The cheque was formally handed over to Roshni in the presence of her parents, school Principal and members of V4Us. On this occasion V4Us and students of the school engaged in seed ball dispersal and tree plantation activities too. Colouring sets and chocolates were distributed amongst the children of the primary section by generous donors of V4Us.
